In the spirit of World Sickle Cell Day, SCDAA continues its commitment to raise awareness with the launch of a new masterclass speaker series on June 22. Hear top experts discuss trending topics from the perspective that a potential cure and new breakthrough therapies are on the horizon. Guest speakers explore topics from a perspective that may not yet have been widely explored or considered.
Panelists for the June masterclass include SCDAA Chief Medical Officer Lewis Hsu, M.D, and Edward Donnell Ivy, M.D., SCDAA vice chief medical officer, who will discuss the role of gene therapy in our journey forward. The discussion will be moderated by Andrew Campbell, M.D., director of the Children’s National Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease Program.
