I Believe in Therapy Campaign Presentation – 2023
source: Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Inc
year: 2023
summary/abstract:One unifying message in the sickle cell community is that our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Therefore as a community, we have to start recognizing that our mental health matters by prioritizing our emotional well-being, we open ourselves up to cope with the physical demands of sickle cell disease in a healthier way. We develop resilience, an acceptance of what we can and cannot control, and the tools to manage life’s ups and downs.
