Dr. Steinberg is currently working as professor of medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. He is also associated with Center of Excellence in Sickle Cell Disease at Boston Medical Center. He holds board certifications both in internal medicine and hematology. His expertise includes clinical aspects of hemoglobinopathies and genetics of hemoglobin disorders. Dr. Steinberg’s clinical and research interests include sickle cell disease, inherited disorders of erythrocytes, fetal hemoglobin regulation and genotype-phenotype associations.
