Lisa M. Shook is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and the Administrative Director of the Cincinnati Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center. She has a Master’s degree in Health Education and is currently a doctoral student focused on Health Education. She is the PI of the HRSA-funded Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Demonstration Project called STORM (Sickle Treatment and Outcomes Research in the Midwest).
Lisa is also the Director of the newborn screening program in southwestern Ohio, which is funded by the Ohio Department of Health, and is the Course Director of an annual hemoglobinopathy counselor training course. Her interests include patient and provider education, newborn screening, and health services research.
