Matthew Karafin, MD, MS is the associate medical director, Medical Sciences Institute, BloodCenter of Wisconsin. He is also an assistant professor of pathology at Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Karafin’s major responsibilities include Transfusion service work and instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows in general pathology and Transfusion Medicine. He oversees the Blood Bank and Therapeutic apheresis services for Froedtert Hospital/Medical College of Wisconsin and also directly supervises pathology residents on their coagulation rotations.
