The South Central Pennsylvania Sickle Cell Council (SCPASCC) was incorporated in November of 1994 and is a 501(c)3) non profit organization that provides education and health services to persons with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and Sickle Cell Trait (SCT) and their families.
What we do each day impacts the lives of people who live with this painful disease in the 26 PA Counties that we support. Various people contact the Sickle Cell Council (SCC) to ask for help for themselves, and/or, loved ones. After identifying people who are suffering silently, without the benefits of our services, we encourage them to start using our programs and services to make their lives easier. We offer Youth, Adult, Family and Caregiver Support Groups to help them develop tools to regain a sense of control over their lives.
